On Saturday, November 22, the first annual Food Allergy and Celiac (FAC) Convention will be held at the Coronado Springs Resort and Convention Center, located within Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Although not associated with Disney, the convention is being held inside the park as a thank you for the park’s commitment to special diet accommodations.
“Expect delicious food, exciting new allergy-friendly and gluten-free products, workshops, great speakers and cooking demos – even from Disney chefs themselves. The convention is the brainchild of co-hosts Sarah Norris, creator of the website Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free at WDW, and special-diet cookbook author Laurie Sadowski,” says the group’s sponsors in a release.
The convention is aimed towards the general public who have or live with those who have food allergies or celiac disease. It will include samples from vendors, demos of product, workshops, and more.
