The Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) non-profit has launched a network of food allergy clinics as “Centers of Excellence.”
FARE is the leading non-profit organization that deals exclusively with food allergies and the people who have them. They’ve now established the FARE Clinical Network, which recognizes and helps fund centers that develop treatments and drugs for patients with food allergies.
Initially funding 22 “Centers of Excellence.”
With just over $2 million in funding annually, FARE is committing to twenty-two centers of research to help with clinical trials, therapeutic development, and the development of patient treatment best practices.
The goal is to build collaboration between research groups and facilities to accelerate the development of therapies and cures. James R. Baker, Jr., MD, CEO and chief medical officer of FARE said in a statement: “FARE will direct the Clinical Network centers of excellence across the country to a common goal of ensuring that patients with food allergies have access to state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatments and research. We will continue to expand the number of centers to provide access to more patients.”
