The non-profit Kids With Food Allergies (KFA) celebrated its tenth anniversary by unveiling a specially commissioned glass tile mosaic to honor children with food allergies and their families.
The mosaic is being display for the summer at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery in Washington, D.C. and then will find permanent residence in the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) in Maryland. KFA is a division of the AAFA.
Created by charity for charity.
The art was created by students at the Arts on the Block, a charity group that provides real-world experience in the arts for creative young people. The mosaic was sponsored by Inovation, a healthcare-oriented cloud-based technology company.
KFA has been a division of AAFA dedicated to keeping children with food allergies safe and healthy. Most of the group’s efforts are online, providing web-based education programs and support. You can find KFA at KidsWithFoodAllergies.org.
