I was talking to my dd after picking her up from her school (the new one this year). I asked her if she's made any, or many new friends. She named a few but then said, "hopefully Julie will play with me again"
I asked if she used to play with Julie and she said "yes, but I think Julie's mad at me 'cause I wouldn't have any of her soup".
Well, I went into my LECTURE MODE. Re-telling her all the reasons she must never share foods etc. I spent about 4 minutes NON-STOP explaining the dangers and all the bad things that could happen.......You all know the stuff.
Finally after I shut up, she says, "but mom, it was only pretend soup using mud puddle water and leaves and grass.
