On 5/3/00, there is supposed to be a segment on allergies to be broadcasted on the NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw (6:30 p.m. eastern time). It was advertised at the end of this evening's broadcast (5/2/00). One statistic given: 30% of all adults have allergies; 50% of all children now have allergies. Why is this happening?

pIt mainly covered seasonal allergies - no food that I heard. It did show a lab that is doing research on curing allergies. They say they are working on a cure for asthma./p

pHey, I missed it, too. On my way to church, my child say, hey, what about that show you were supposed to watch! I did log onto MSNBC website and typed in allergy and they have a lot of info. on this subject. Mostly re. envir. allergies. As most of us battle this as well, thought you might want to check it out. There are some good tips on what works and what doesn't, etc. Check out the U.S. News World Report article, as well./p
