Last night there was an Anaphylaxis Presentation done at my son's school which is considered in the Barrie area. It is done by a woman from Barrie. She has been trained by Anaphylaxis Canada.

I have to say that the presentation was excellent. This woman really knows her stuff and also really knows how to get it across to non-PA parents and school staff.

I highly recommend the presentation as part of educating your school and school community. If anyone is in the Barrie area and would her name and telephone number, please feel free to contact me.

I think, for me, at the time I called her in August, I was still frustrated with the school and felt that if they heard the words from someone other than me, they might "get it" a bit better. You do call her yourself but then the principal of the school has to call her to set up the actual presentation.

Whether you're having difficulties with the school or simply would like to provide additional information to them, this is an excellent way to do it, especially for those of us who aren't good public speakers.

Again, I highly recommend it. Now, I just have to find someone who does the same thing in the new school district I'm moving to!

Best wishes!
