I know about Zen soy puddings, and they are great, but they are only sold at Whole Foods, which is an hour drive for me.
I've tried making Jello instant pudding with both soy milk and Almond Breeze non-dairy beverage. Neither one would set up.
Does anyone know what product will set up?
Thanks!

I've had good luck with Cook and Serve pudding mix setting up with soymilk and rice milk.
Thanks! I'll give that a go.

Years ago I had pudding that my mother made using soft tofu. I believe she just mixed it with Jello pudding mix, but it has been a long time, so I'm not sure.
Does Mori Nu make pudding mix? I seem to recall dd's first preschool teacher checking it out and asking me to. But check again, as it was 3.5 years ago, now.
Ah! Found a link. http://www.morinu.com/product/mates.html becca
We use Dr Oetker boxes - add milk, heat and stir.
I'd have to hit Whole Foods for that Mori Nu stuff. Looks good tho. Really trying to avoid that drive!
bonestable, if I added milk, it wouldn't be dairy free anymore!

Sorry - I am just too used to everything being non-dairy.
When I said add milk I meant SOY milk. May work with rice milk, I haven't tried it.
My kids think the chocolate one tastes just like the Zen soy puddings.
I've never heard of Dr Oetker. I'll have to google it and give it a go!
Thanks!
Try doing some vegan pudding searches on the web and you'll find some good ones.
I take 1 cup of tofu, a few scoops of Hershey powder, a bit of vege oil, some sugar and mix it up in the blender.
My family gobbles it up in no time
