I'm not clear if this is Canadian specific or even within Canada, provincially specific.

Does your child's school adhere to the school board's policy re PA in your school district?

My son's school board policy enables him to have a "peanut free" classroom. The decision about whether a school is "peanut free" or not is up to the principal. So, as far as my son's school, they are following or living up to school board policy in that they very quickly implemented a "peanut free" classroom for him since last year.

I know that when going through the actual policy before the beginning of this school year, I did find a couple of items where I felt the school had fallen a bit short.

I have been made "official food checker" at the school for any food that they are going to bring in for fundraising, etc. and I think this is wonderful! I am really pleased with this development. I had always wanted people asking me questions and had always been open to that but it never seemed to happen. Now, it is.

For the most part, I would say that my son's school is following the school board policy.
What about everyone else? Best wishes!
