We have known about our sons peanut allergy for about six months (he's 3 years).
It has been a really hard time and reduced our lifequality big time.

But the biggest problem is our extended family (grandparents, uncle, aunt and their small children (2-4 years old).
They refuse to reduce their peanut intake and eat peanuts several times a day(the children also)
Our son and their children are so tactile as small children are, they hold hands, hug and kiss. Because of this we have said that we cant meet them as long as they have eaten peanuts the same day, and they easily chose to continue with the big intake and no contact with us.

It has been a really big extra burden in an alredy hard time. They are all the family we got where we live and now our social netwoork is severly reduced.

Do you have any advice to me? Am I to hysterical?

I am so sorry to hear that. You would expect family to be the most supportive so I understand that it can be hurtful. Have you sat down with them and told them what an allergic reaction can do to your children? Do they understand that it can be fatal if the peanut allergy is severe enough? What I have found is that a lot people just do not understand. Just let me know and I am hear to listen and help.
