pWhen a label says "may contain" peanuts, is this for the benefit of people who are highly allergic to peanuts? After reading some of the posts on these discussion boards about products that should have this warning (i.e. Pillsbury slice bake cookies) I wonder how great the threat really is, because my PA daughter has consumed some of these products. Maybe she isn't as sensitive to peanuts? Or I wonder if people are overly concerned about cross contamination needlessly./p
pIn a related question, our allergist mentioned doing a test to determine how allergic my daughter is to peanuts by giving her some in a hospital setting, but we said we didn't want to put her through that. Has anyone done this test? I do wonder how allergic she is sometimes./p
