My daughter is allergic to peanuts, her new friend and classmate is allergic to milk and tree nuts. Her mom and I visited the grosery store to make a list of safe fun foods for class parties (no milk or nuts). It was challenging but we found a lot of options. I was wondering if any one on this board had a child with a milk, peanut and nut allergys??? I would like advice on safe foods, and any insite on dealing with the parents of the classmates.
Some are not understanding of our childrens needs, they see it as an inconvients, and a burdan for the teacher. They dont understand why the school put the two in the same classroom. The two girls became instant friends and are commited to keeping eachother safe this school year. I am trying to compose a letter with safe foods, as well as an artical for the church/school newspaper. We are also sending for information on FAANs PAL program.
