My son is to enter in to an inclusion Pre-k program. I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with having a PA child in a program like this. We live in Florida.
He will be one of three typical children in the class. The rest will be Autistic or other disablities. The teacher has concerns because the other children are very affectionate with others. When eating, there usually is a mess of the food.
I wanted the class to be peanut free. But I don't feel it is neccesary for the rest of the school to be. The rest of the world isn't and I want my son to live in the real world. He is 4 1/2. Also he is pretty aware of what his allergy entails. He asks if something is safe before he eats.If you could let me know of your experiences and thoughts it would be greatly appreciated.
