Nervous about moving abroad with PA

This is always the big concern. Especially if there is a language barrier where people might not understand what you are saying or if they do not take it as seriously as they should. This page has a lot of good resources at the bottom that I hope helps:

I get it absfabs, I get nervous about travel let alone the thought of moving abroad but there are so many countries now that are so advanced when it comes to food allergies. Im not sure where youre going but I would research apps for both grocery stores for label checks and restaurants. That will give you some peace of mind. And if theres a language barrier, make sure that you have a translator app so you can communicate clearly when dining out.

Hi Absfabs, you didnt mention where youre moving but Googling about peanut allergies specifically in that country and their labeling laws will be a good first step. And Id look at what resources they offer, such as apps when youre grocery shopping and restaurant apps that cater to allergies. They should have organizations that have good resources for you and maybe even a number that you can call where you can talk to someone.

Depends on what country youre moving to. I live in the UK, and labels over here are typically better and more complete than in the States.

Pen, I am moving to England, so its good to know that labels are better there. That gives me such peace of mind. I plan to do a lot of research before moving and even more so when I am there. I am sure that once I am living there it will be a lot better than I think it will be in terms of people catering to peanut allergic people.
