Possible to develop food allergy as an adult?
Quote from admin on October 5, 2023, 12:00 amYes it is, I know multiple people who have and I personally didnt develop one till I was 26/27. I am now severely allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. It also seems I am becoming allergic to other things as well now.

Quote from admin on October 5, 2023, 12:00 amThanks Bahumbug, it helps to know that it is possible to develop an allergy like this as an adult. Think this has been going on for a while but I thought that it was digestive issues. Ive only ever heard of it happening to kids, but not adults. A friend told me to make an appointment with an allergist so thats my next step. Thanks again!

Quote from admin on October 5, 2023, 12:00 amYeah, its definitely possible. I have a friend who didnt get their food allergy til their late 30s. Ive had a lifelong allergy but I do know that a lot of people develop their allergies later in life.

Quote from admin on October 5, 2023, 12:00 amI have friends who developed their food allergies as adults. They found out that they had the allergies when they were adults but they both complained about food intolerances for years that gradually got a lot worse. Then they went to an allergist and got properly diagnosed. Now they know what to completely avoid.
