Should I be worried about airborne allergic reactions?

Hi Absfabs, I have heard both sides from medical professionals and read online as well that some believe that there is no worry of airborne reactions and others who warn that there could be. I am one who airs on the side of caution regardless. Unless there is a clear cut stance, I will always take precaution especially when I am traveling. I have gone as so far as to wear a mask on a flight, especially a longer flight. I always let the person sitting next to me, if Im traveling alone, know where my epipen is located should I have a reaction. I would err on the side of caution when it comes to potential airborne allergies, especially when flying.
