Working in the public school system, I have seen money spent on disruptive kids, special treats and activities planned for these "difficult kids" whos parents are jerks. I have been called in to work with a number of kids who can't be handled by the regular teachers, and I get paid well when I go. I cannot believe that banning peanuts is an issue! I have read many posts and I am just so surprised to find such difficulties in dealing with schools...well maybe not THAT surprised. I hope I don't have such problems. I was going to home school, not because of the PA, but because I have seen the pubic schools in action, but I have now joined the ranks of single parent and I have no choice in that area. I guess my point was that we spend so much money on other areas that in some cases are foolish, while banning peanuts is a real life or death issue, what is tough about that?!
