Got this off a "coffeegeek" website, while searching for a home made frappucino recipe (my own attempts were not working out at all). Its pretty close to the real thing so I thought I'd share...
2 1/2 c. cold, double strength coffee (I brew 1/2c. grounds w/ 2 1/2 c. water in a french press coffeepot - I let it steep for 10 min.)
1 1/2 c. canned evaporated milk (385ml can)
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. chocolate syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Mix the above into a large container you can keep in you fridge.
To make a frappucinno take a tall serving glass, fill 1/2 with mix, and the rest with as much ice as it will hold. Empty into a blender and blend.
I've made it with whole evaporated milk, and with fat free. The whole milk tastes creamier, but the non-fat is pretty good too (and less hazardous to the waistline!)
Could you use soymilk and decaf?

I use decaf when I make it (just in case I want to drink one later at night).
The reason for the evaporated milk (according to the site I found the recipe on) was that it contains carageenan, which prevents the drink from seperating. When I first tried making these I used to end up with a coffee and milk mixture on the bottom, and crushed ice floating on the top - still tasted good, but required lots of stirring!
If you try it let me know how it works. I have a friend who can't have dairy anymore, and she's really missing these drinks. (Starbucks won't/can't mix her one with soymilk.)

That is wierd. So much for 'the customer is always right'.
I think I might try one this weekend -- got lots to do, lemon bars, donuts............but the frappucino sounds like one to add on for sure!
Starbucks uses a premixed base for their fraps.
Ask for a decaf iced capp/mocha whatever, with soy and see if they can blend it in a clean blender.
They used to have a dairy free tea frap called the tazoberry that I loved.

You can make a dairy free version of this by using a non-dairy creamer such as Mocha Mix or the Silk Creamers.
So, I gave the recipe to DH to make while I was doing some stuff. I had him make it half caff/half de-caff, with soymilk. He made it, put some of the mix in the blender -- then the ice. Of course, then after blending realizes he doesn't have enough ice. So, we are having iced coffee right now. Tastes really good, and so far I don't see separation going on. Told him next time to put all the ice we had in the blender first, then add the mix (starting with less, adding more if needed to get the right thickness).
All in all though, tastes pretty darn good.

Aye, the starbucks frap bases are already made. You *can* ask for a blended iced decaf soy latte, but be nice and don't request this when the counter has an obvious rush. If they're not busy, explain that you can't have dairy and ask that they wash out the blender carafe.
Being deathly allergic to soy, I'm a happy customer at our local 'Bucks. Two of my regular stores know me on sight and without asking, clean the wands *really* well and use a fresh carafe of whole milk. When one store had the old machine, they had a dedicated soy wand, so there was never even an issue.

Well, last night we used the rest of the mix up. Put the ice in the blender first, then added as needed. Got it to slurpee-like consistency. Tasted so gooooooooooood!!! Now I know why people like them so much!
Do you like coconut? Try espresso (or strongly brewed coffee, if you like), ice, coconut milk, and chocolate syrup.
