The 2015 Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) National Food Allergy Conference will be held on May 16 and 17 in Long Beach, California. The conference will feature leading food allergy experts and panelists in an educational event.
Speakers at the conference will include food allergy researchers, advocates and others like chef Amanda Freitag and musician Kyle Dine. The conference and presentations are designed to educate on the latest findings and research paths for food allergy as well as give insight into the challenges faced by those suffering from food allergies.
Educational event ‘for anyone affected by food allergies’
The FARE conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach and will be comprised of about 40 educational and experiential sessions on several topics. Those topics will include food allergy management at home, school, work, etc. Side topics will include managing anxiety that can come with managing food allergies and the latest in food allergy research findings and inquiry.
In a special Chef-to-Chef session, renowned chef Amanda Freitag will discuss how she manages her potentially life-threatening food allergy in the kitchen and her everyday life. That interview will be conducted by Joel Shaefer, author of Serving People with Food Allergies: Kitchen Management and Menu Creation.
