When faced with the task of arranging a gluten-free menu, you might be overwhelmed and confused. Even a search on the Internet can create more questions than it answers.

Luckily, putting together a gluten-free meal is not difficult and can even give you a chance to be creative. Just look for gluten-free products: breads, rolls, sauces, etc.

A wonderful gluten-free breakfast that everyone can enjoy might be scrambled eggs with cheese, a sautéed vegetable topping, and turkey bacon.

You can easily stick with an egg + vegetable/fruit + protein formula for an easy-to-fix gluten-free start to the day. For instance, a ground turkey and egg scramble with a bowl of strawberries will work. You could even make an Eggs Benedict if you find a nice gluten-free muffin. They are available at most natural grocery stores.

As far as cereal goes, stick with rice or puffed rice cereals. There are actually quite a few gluten-free options if you read the labels carefully.

A salad with protein is always a good option if everyone eating is an adult. What you need to watch out for are the dressings. Make your own or look for store-bought varieties that contain no gluten.

You can make chicken nuggets with crushed potato chip coating. This is easy and kids love it. Sandwiches, hot dogs and hamburgers all work fine when you find a good gluten-free bread. Read the hot dog ingredients carefully. As a processed food, occasionally you will find gluten fillers.

Chicken salad, tuna salad, or a Waldorf salad on rice crackers are yummy options. Veggies in dressings are good, but always check the labels on the dressings.

For dinner, you can follow another easy formula: protein + veggie + grain. Chicken with steamed broccoli and rice is a very easy combination that works for both the simple, quick dinner and the elegant dinner party.

Spices and sauces can bring the dinner into the fancy zone if needed. Steak with a potato and grilled/stuffed tomato is gluten-free and delicious. Try grilled fish and asparagus with corn on the cob.

Look online for recipe alterations to classics: Fried chicken can be made gluten-free, gluten-free pizza crust is available, etc. Gluten-free living is not as difficult as you might think.
